Age old question. Did you have an affair and it cost you your marriage? Was it worth it? Was the grass greener or was it brown? Do you now wish that you watered your own yard? My now exwife is about 3 months into her affair turned relationship.

The grass is not greener. It only leads to confusion, heartache, and helplessness. It can and most often causes a divorce. If not, it hurts the marriage relationship for years to come. A couple can get over it but nothing is ever the same. Marriage is for keeps but if fornicated, it is grounds for divorce. It is up to the individuals. If you can work it out and regain trust in the fornicator, then it may be worth saving the marriage. Everyone makes mistakes and two wrongs don't make a right. Maybe your wife wasn't meant to be yours. Unfaithfulness is of Satan. It's probably a sexual thing which she will someday regret. Take care and God bless...

No, sometimes the grass IS indeed greener. Very lush.

But, you can't have everything.

We experiemented with an "open relationship" for a couple years. Everything we did was by mutual agreement.

It is possible to meet and have relations with other people who are very exciting, desirable, satisfying, etc.

But as I said, it's only temporary. You can't have everything.
