i have stopped a rouge "anti spyware" program but the red dot in the tray on the bottom right won't die please help

two ways of dealing with this:
go to start>add/control panel>add/remove programs, and kill it. You may have to do it in safe mode, by rebooting, and pressing f8 about once per second until you get a boot option list.
Download, install and use spybot search and destroy from Safer-networking.org. Choose advanced mode, then tools, and startup programs. Find it and uncheck it. It will not start unless you start it.

What you need is a Complete spyware and Virus scan. Yahoo has a good anti-virus program for free. But then, once thats done, you need to go to your control panel and look for programs that dont belong and delete them, because sometime Spyware adds things on your computer w/o your knowledge
