I've got a halfway legitimate answer to your question.

I used to work a job that we would be required to work on Saturdays occasionally. we usually started at 9.. but on Saturdays.. we started at 8.. why earlier? I understood when I overheard all the older employees ( the people making the rules) talking about what they were going to do after work. Home Depot, Family activities, house chores.

The morning is our time to do what we like (sleep off hangovers) and the afternoon is theres.

Not all people get up at 1pm in the afternoon. Some of us like to get up early and get stuff like that out of the way so we can party party party.

you're lucky....they close at 12 for me. i usually say screw it and wait for Monday to roll around. Any hour before 1:00pm only exsists on weekdays.
