What did people think of the State of the Union Address?

Bush believers loved it. They now number fewer than the number of people who believe that alien abductions into flying saucers is a real thing.

Normal people were unimpressed.

People who have always seen through Bush, saw through his writers attempts make him look less foolish.

Of course, liberals hated it, conservatives loved it, people think to much with their emotions.

I thought it sounded good. I'm not sure that President Bush is living in the same USA that I am. Our economy has been sliding for the past 30 years but Free Trade in the last 6 have really killed us. His health care plan is pretty good. I think the Iraqi's won't fight for their country as they are too ingrained in their wacky religion. I didn't hear anything really about the huge problem with illegal criminal invasion from the south. That woman speaker Pelosa or Peloga or whatever made some comical faces (or was she chewing gum).

You know the problem is that we have no good candidates, they are all a bunch of liars. The Rep's want to sell us out for money, the Dem's want to sell us out for power. If you're a working class citizen you're screwed.

President Bush didn't seem to be impressing the Democratic Party. I think President talked alot as usual; not much being said. He got alot of notice when he was talking about Nancy Pilosi. Madam Speaker of the House.

It was good low keyed in parts yet he got his message across. Too many in Amrica have jumped on the hate bush band wagon without really bothering to study the issues. We are living in trying times a lot has happened these passed 6 years yet our economy is strong. sure the deficiet is high we had to pay for 4 strong hurricanes in one year! Not counting 911 and the war on terror. Yet because of the tax cuts and government letting people run the economy the coffers of the government are so full that the deficiet is being paid back way ahead of what was predicted. The war in Iraq is a tough one. I give him one more chance to get it right but I fear that the people of Iraq are the ones who will decide if we win or loose. I hope his words on immigration weren't just lip service. Judging from the last 6 years they are . I don't understand him and most politicians not seeing the importance of strong border control. But overall I gave his speech a B-. I'm a sucker for the personal stories that he told like the basketball player from Africa and the guy risking his life to save someone on the subway tracks. Only question is what's up with Nancy Palosi and the blinking? I've never seen anyone blink so may times for so long. strange Does she have a camera implanted in her skull or what?

I didn't watch it. I just can't bear the thought of listening to Bush's voice for 2 hours.

Seriously though, it was announced on the news that the main topic being addressed in the speech was the war on Iraq. I've already heard him backing up his new plan until he's blue in the face, and he still hasn't convinced me.

Excellent .. Followup speech by (D) Jim Webb 8Min's long four Min's was about his family and his smug self.... What a piece of work he gets two times to prove his a good American and two times he insults the president .. I wonder how long it will be before he gets caught with some little boy... S hit happens !!
