What's a peck and why did he pick them?

A peck is a unit of measurement. He used to pick them because they were one of his favorite foods. Since he's gotten older, and his stomach has gotten more sensitive, he doesn't eat them anymore.

I believe he picked a pickle of peppers. A peck is an infinate amount of pickled peppers and he picked them because he doesn't like cucumbers.

It was for community service. He got drunk one night and slept with the mayor's prized pig....I do not know how many peppers are in a peck however.
