Look for hair salons in the phonebook.
Some salons will do your makeup, too but it would probably be best to search for a Mary Kay consultant in your area because Mary Kay consultants give free makeovers.
Considering all of the other money you are spending towards your wedding, I'm sure something free would go a long way.
Good luck and congrats on the wedding!

Go to the mall and hit up macys, dilliards, nordstroms, whatever u may have in your area. Go to your favorite make up counter ( i recommend Estee Lauder) and tell them u want a consultation for ur big day. They try skincare and colors and a whole new look for ur big day and write all the items down. They do expect u to buy something but the consultation is free. If u buy ur foundation or powder thats stuff u can use everyday. If u want to have the artist come to ur home ask her if they know anyone u can hire. Also as for a hairstylist u can call a few local solons and ask to go in for a few trial runs to see what they can do for u. Im a regional make up artist for estee lauder. I do go to homes the day of and do a trial run to see what u like to save drama on ur big day. It usually costs about $75-$100 for the bride and $50-$75 per any other face to be done(bridemaids, moms, sisters) Good luck sweety! I wish u the best on ur beautiful day!

Go to the local boutiques. I am sure that they mostly would be willing to show you a portfolio. I am sure that there are many, also try the Internet. There might be some links or chat rooms to engage a convo. with someone with a similar task at hand. Also in a hairstylists lobby, the best water cooler chat that would be specifically for women. Most women would love to share their knowledge if it lets them talk about what THEY did. Beware of the bitches tho. They might throw you the wrong bone.
When my twin got married, we got our regular hairstylist to do our hair (bride and 3 brides maids) for a package deal. He knew us as regulars and did spectacular. His wife did our make up and nails for free!!!! Good luck and congrats.

Try a salon, salons have lots of resources for makup artists and hairstylists. Also if you go into a Make Up artistry or Esthetics School they can usually refer someone that can do it pretty good and for cheap.

You should try booking an appointment with a Mary Kay beauty consultant, who have locations all across the U.S. and Canada:

As for the hair you should just try going to a local hair salon.

ask your gay friends - trust me, they always know the good ones, tell them you are on a budget or they will send you to the most expensive. Say I want a good cut but I need to be sensible.
