Make sure both the Desktop and the Laptop have the same workgroup name. Right click on the printer on your desktop computer and select Sharing. Check the options to share the printer out. From your laptop you can browse your network places and look for your desktop computer and select your printer. Make sure your secure your wireless connection with a password so no one else can access your network shares and your internet connection.

Presuming your network is set up correctly, Install the Printer software into all the computers you want to share the printer with.

Connect the printer to the desktop.

Start > Control Panel > Printers and Fax > Right click your printer and select Sharing.
