there is one option called add folder to library..but when i select that the songs in that folder are not getting added to my itunes library..i m not knowing how to add songs to my new apple ipod..
can someone help me out with this please...
do tell me how to add songs to ipod.the photos got added but the songs arent..
pl tell me clearly and elaborately..

i tried..but it isnt playing songs too...i mean when the CD is removed..pl can someone help me out..

several possibilities, but most likey, they are DRM (digital rights management) protected files. It depends on the source of the songs. Its the same scheme that will not allow you to move Zune songs to iTunes and visa-versa.
The standard workaround is to burn the songs on a CD-R and then import them to iTunes.

try adding file to library... or make itunes your default player then just click on the music file and itunes will play it.. then u can update to ipod
