I would say that the number one thing to look for in a long-term partner is friendship and companionship. You have to LIKE the person, not just lust after them. Passion and beauty fade over time and you need to have some other reason to be with the person. My husband and I are the only people in the world who don't drive each other crazy no matter how much time we spend together (which is a lot and we have been dating for 11+ years and married for 3+ and have 2 kids). No matter what we can always make each other laugh. I think that's very important, too.

First of all you have to be sincere coz when you`re sincere u`l find someone who is sincere too. u should find a person who possess the characteristics that you want to find in her because each person choice is different. U have to know how you want the person to look like. Remember that apperance is not all the most important is the heart of the person, does she care for you? Does she understand u? Do you think that u`ll be complete with her? And remember don`t ever try a girl because girls give their all, i mean their soul in a relationship, don`t ever hurt a girl...
when u`l see the person u`ll find something on the deep inside of you drawing you close to her. Just because a person has faults doesnot mean that she`s not the right one for you. When u fall in love with someone always give your best, get to know each other, be faithful and if you are sincere u`l be drawn to your other half.....

If you are still living in the past, luck, opportunity and jackpot will interest you. To me, it is a trial and error way. Live with one person for 6 months to one year, maybe 2 to 3 years before you say 'I do'.

well i found mine but lost her cuz i was an idiot, and now I am trying to win her back. not easy but i am trying. good luck to you. you will know it when it hits you but be careful. the divorce rate is 50% which means people get it right only 1/2 the time.
