Decreased libido is a common side effect of SOME antidepressants. You need to talk to your doctor about this. The best solution to this is to switch to another antidepressant. I know that Serzone and Wellbutrin have low incidences of sexual side effects.

Low libido is one of the side effects of anti-depressants. There are many good ones on the market that do not cause the low libido. One of them is Zoloft. The only problem I have is dry mouth and I need to drink a lot of water anyway.

Zoloft killed my libido dead (I'm female). I never wanted to have sex and if I did, I rarely had an orgasm (I never had a problem with that before). There wasn't anything I could so about it. When I went off the Zoloft, my sex drive came back and there were no more problems. I'm taking Lexapro now and although I don't get in the mood that often, when I do have sex it's enjoyable and I can achieve orgasm.

Yeah, I have a problem. I have been taking anti-depressants and other drugs for my brain for most of my twenties, while I recovered from a serious head injury.
Now I'm in my thirties and still single. I think most of the problem is that I have been so self-absorbed that I had no real desire, time, or resources to invest in a relationship when I hadn't finshed developing in my brain.
Now I have recovered, but all the girls are gone. I'm alone and I feel even more depressed, situationally. I can't help that, and try not to be too influenced by my predicament. All I can do is my best, having hope that the best will happen, that good things will return to me as long as I send good things out.

Yes I have. I had to switch anti depressants because prozac wasn't working and the paxil actually increased my libido.

very common-talk to your doctor about switching to a med that is less likely to have this side effect or adding a med that could help increase your libido (I've heard some people report positive effects with the addition of a small dose of Wellbutrin to their regular med).

Good luck.
