She told me that when she looks in the mirror she likes what she sees but it seems like no one else seems to see what she sees because they are always calling her names. They say people who talk about you are sometimes jealous but can it seriously be that many jealous girls out there. I say girls because guys usually like her for who she is. Any words of encouragement that I can give her.

Tell her to ignore them.. high school girls are petty, shallow, little monsters!
If it makes her feel any better you can tell her that all of the girls picked on me in high school, I hated them! I didn't even date boys from my own school because the other girls picked on me so much I thought that none of the boys liked me.
When I went to my 10 year reunion they all acted like we were the best of friends in school and every single guy that was there confessed that he had a crush on me in high school!
Those people don't matter! If she likes what she sees then in makes no difference what those stupid girls think!

An old saying Sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you. Whenever she looks in the mirror and she can say that she not only likes the look but also the deeper character of herself she has not one thing to worry about .

Yeah, tell her all the reasons she is your friend. If she is happy then why worry about the others. And there can be that many jealous girls out there.
