There is no "University of the Flowery One", the University of California is not a single school (UCSB, UC-B, et al.), but your best bet for all of them is Berk. Berk is the BEST public university in the nation, and one of the top 20 Universities regardless of public/private status.

Well, what degree do you wish to take? UC Berkeley can be very well in sciences I dunno about the Flowery one.
