Check out some House music (and soulful house)... For instance, check out a song: Tortured Soul - "Fall in Love"... LOL dont worry its not metal or something it sounds kinda jazzy with a beat and some light vocals...
I like classical too actually, but some house music has a great casual vibe but at the same time can have a relaxing beat with some soul too :-) I like to recommend that because its not as popular an answer as classical or jazz. Check it out :-D

I like to listen to this band named Explosions in the Sky. A couple of their songs are in the football movie Friday Night Lights. I also like Sigur Ros. Those two are my favorite bands when it comes to if i wnat to relax.
