Something like, "I really want to do anything to be with you, but it's hard for me to accept any more mistakes."

Or, "I really want to give my all for you, but I'm afraid that I'll be 'hurt'"

You should have a serous conversation with him that you would do anything to be with him, but it's hard at times to accept anymore mistakes. Then you ask him what he wants out of the relationship and if he wants the same thing you do, then you can built on that....but if he doesn't want to change for you and wants to stay the same and wants you to baby him like his mother did then I would really look at what your really gaining by staying in this relationship cuz if a man doesn't want to change to make it work then he's not worth you time!!!

Oh well, u got to realize he is just a human , born to make mistakes.
Tell him to be honest with you on all matters.
