I always get squirmish if people talk about blood or if I think about things like cuts. But when I do my hands and fingers feel all sensitive, like they're really fragile and it's nothing but blood and thin skin. Okay now I can't type anymore, see? please tell me why?

Did you have any trauma that involved blood while you were growing up? Any traumatic accidents involving you, a member of your family or a friend? If it's not related to any traumatic memories, did you read gory or scary stories or magazines while growing up that involved violence or blood? If none of the above, then you're just a very sensitive person. Perhaps you find the thought of getting cut so painful and horrid that even the mention of blood gets it going. If it's really bothersome, try a good therapist who can seek out a deeper reason for it. Good luck.

Hi,
It sounds like a blood phobia. You probably get a bit tense and start breathing fast. That way you have too much oxygen in your blood and that makes you feel a bit faint and makes your hands feel sensitive. It's a very normal biological reaction, there is even a name for it: biofasic response. It's easily treated (if you would like to do so). Get your GP to refer you to a psychologist or counsellor and tell them what you are feeling. They will probably treat you with applied relaxation techniques. You do these techniques whenever you think of blood or you see it and it will prevent you from breathing inappropriately. It will prevent that weird feeling you have in your hands and fingers.

Good luck and take care!
