Its been a long time since botany so I can't help for certain but:

Tall stems are an adaptation to get to sunlight, that would be land or to stretch up to the top of the water, that would not be land.

Waxy cuticle usually contains (as in not letting it out) some type of toxin, land.

Baby seeds, they are also on both types of plants.

Sea life don't normally have taste buds, rather smell, vibrations or sight enable them to find and consume their prey so D wouldn't be it.

I would have to go with maybe A because long stemmed plants existed in the oceans before on land.

Then I had to do a touch evaluation worksheets for heritage AND memorize each and each of the presidents so as. Argh, i'm chuffed it really is over with because I even haven't any homework on the prompt :)

D. Rotten tasting leaves.

The reason why is that they're an adaptation that can be used in life in water. A predator on land and a predator in the water are both deterred by the leaves.

The other choices are adaptations for land only.

I am assuming baby seeds are of plants. So I am sure your answer is B.

its def not d, because making foul tasting leaves was an adaptation to keep things from eating it.

i think its d, that really doesnt have anything to do with land, and the other ones could have some logic to them
