Well.. if your eyes are open enough.. there are a whole lot of people who are against reservation including me! It is an unfair proposition, considering the speed the technology is taking the country to.. !

Makers of our Constitution and our great national leaders such as Mahathma Gandhi have provided reservation in jobs to the weaker sections of the people to provide equal opportunity to all sections of the people. The upper class communities have been enjoying access to Govt. jobs, wealth, political leadership etc. due their birth in the upper class. No opportunities were available to the weakers section of the people such as SC, ST, OBC etc. since the upper class people were at the helm of affairs in all fields during the British Rule. If no reservation was provided in the Constitution, the weaker sections would have remained as the weaker section for ever.

The inference that Many intelligent students died due to reservation is not correct. If those students who died (committed suicide) were intelligent, they would not have resorted to such act.

Intentions of reservation are noble.However ,in the hands of our greedy politicians it has been misused.
Let me explain why I think that the intentions are noble.
When we gained independence ,it was a poor country and to become a self sufficient,strong and a nice country to live in, development of all sections of the society was necessary. However, due to poor planning & increasing population development has not been sufficient to make our country strong and self sufficient inspite of rapid industrialisation and successes in the field of agriculture and industry by great people of India.As a result the people of India are developing across various cross section in a lopsided manner. The rich have nothing to worry but the poor are remaining poor. The backward classes being poor can not afford opportunities to succeed in life because they are not in the forefront with respect to education,participation in the various activities of the society. Hence it is necessary to reserve some place for the best among the poor atleast to get opportunities.Over a period of time they also will be strong enough to stand on their own and will not need resrvation anymore.
Let me explain why the implementation has gone wrong and is still going wrong.
The intention of reservation was to bring forward the people at the back. Now there are some among this section who on their own merit could come to the front.(called creamy layer, these days) They really do not need any reservation.this should actually be utilised for those who are still in the back. Yet the creamy layer is hogging the provision of reservation.
There are also some section of poor people who though deserve reservation are denied opportunities (inspite of their merit) because they belong to forward caste . They feel frustrated because they have the basic qualifications but are denied further upliftment because there are the creamy layer in the backward classes who walk away with the reservation.
For political parties , this has become a tool to get votes of backward class people. More and more sections of society want to get the status of backwardness to get easy and reserved opportunities in schools, colleges and jobs.
This type of implementation based only on caste will divide the society into the haves and have nots. It will in the long run bring about discordant notes in our society.
Govt. set up a moily committee to look into the whole issue and its recommendations are now in the dustbin because it was over ruled by a legislation in the Parliament. Though all are aware of the ill effects of this legislation, nobody would dare to talk sense because they would then be branded as a black sheep.
Our President felt that along with the backward classes , the others also should be taken care off by increasing the opportunities but nobody would listen to his sound advice for obvious reason.
Our country is big and has the ability to take shocks of politicians' foolish decisions. It will however bring India development on the reverse for which the politicians do not bother because they are sitting over crores of rupees and their belly's are full.

First of all, let me ask a question. In a democratic country like ours, what are we lacking? Actually speaking, a true leader who has the courage to take our nation on top of the world. We have politicians who are engaged in the activity of making huge amount of amount and just wish to have the power to rule the world. In order to be in power, they go on for having reservations to fill in their vote banks and do whatever they can to acquire postions in our country. This is the reason why we r favouring the so called resrvations.

We are not favouring Reservation; the politations are playing politics with common peoples & students. B'cause there is some polititions who thinks that due to that they are going to win more votes in Uttar Pradesh & as well as verious BMC etc. elections.

So, now they are trying to difference between students for education.

Reservations should be but some r not qualified in them as they r able to pay fees and study abroad. not all but almost all unreserved people r like ants packed in a sack and r looking for a hole to come out and the will occupy all key positions in the country. all of them r having assets which will be sufficient for generations to eat and sleep without working.

but think of students coming from tribal , rural areas
students from these areas are suffering because of the caste
difference
