It's a source of good fiber. However, depending on how it is popped or with what oil, can make a difference in the fat content even without butter. Be careful for ready made bags or microwaveable bags because they are the biggest offenders typically. I like to pop my own in a big kettle. Use enough oil on the bottom of the pan to cover the area approx. 2x. Then add one layer of unpopped corn. Turn on medium high. Once you hear the first kernal pop, shake the pan rapidly back and forth and don't stop until you hear the last ones pop. Promptly remove from heat. It is a great snack. Much better than others.

CINNAMON-APPLE POPCORN RECIPE Ingredients: 2 cups chopped dried apples 10 cups popped popcorn 2 cups pecan halves 4 teaspoons butter, melted 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 2 teaspoon brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 250-degrees. Place apples in a large shallow baking pan. Bake 20 minutes. Remove pan from oven and stir in popcorn and nuts. In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients. Drizzle butter mixture over popcorn mixture, stirring well. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every ten minutes. Pour onto waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container. Recipe makes 14 cups Cinnamon-Apple Popcorn mix.
