Okay, my favorite author writes books about different types of shape shifters living together in a semi-peaceful coexistance.
Which brings me to my question.
If you could re-'morph' your body into any animal form, which animal would it be, and why would it be that animal?
I'm curious to see what people have to say.

There are sever that I would want to be able to morph into fro several different reasons.

IF we are limited to normal physical animals then perhaps one of the great apes an Orangutan perhaps. Their strength and agility are impressive and of the Great Apes (Gorilla, Orangutan, Chimpanzee) they have always held a great fascination for me.

The wolf would be a choice for me as well, their keen instincts and adaptibility are traits i have tried to adapt myself, espcieally as they are one of my totem animals.

IF mythological creatures can be included then it would have to be a dragon, one of my totem animals. They are wise and powerful creaturs with a long history in most parts of the world.

A mermaid with the body of a woman and lower half of a dolphin, not fish. I have lucid dreams (where I know I'm dreaming but remain asleep...it becomes almost real) and have had numerous dreams as such a creature, able to breathe the water as if it were heavy air. The feeling is unreal; total freedom with the ability to interact with other marine life that most humans will never see, let alone touch, such as killer whales, dolphins, and whales. There are no jerky or sudden movements under water; it's a dance of grace and harmony. These traits are almost nonexistant in the waking world. Blessings

I never considered this before and I think it is a wonderful question. I would want to be a mermaid if mythical creatures are viable, because I love warm water and the weightlessness I feel when I swim in the ocean. I would like to have the human portion so the experience would be processed the same without the need to come up for air.

I'd be a house cat. All the table scraps you want, love and attention, etc. Besides, you could get away with sleeping half the day and being moody all the time. :P

I would become a ferret, so I could play with mine more easily.
I'd like to pounce Jack, dance with Sam, bite Piper the viper and wrestle Mikey...

A cute puppy. Those little buggers have it made because everyone dotes on them. The only "down side" would probably be the flea dip.
