No, but I would tell the salesperson to keep an eye on them. I worked retail and I have been known to challenge customers on their way out with "Are you planning to purchase that, Sir/madam?" I have also been known to wrestle an expensive vase out of the hands of a customer as they made a break for the door.

That really depends upon the situation and how threatening it could become. I think i would let them know they have been caught and give them the chance to make it right instead.

Yeah.....I'm going to try to study them and remember as much as possible, then report them to the store owner. Then I'd ask them to make it anonymous. Hey, in case he saw me, I don't want him coming after me!
