You need to look at the music score and count the number of bars. There are usually 3-4 quarternotes per bar.

Get the sheet music. Then you need to count the measures. A measure is from vertical bar to vertical bar. (Thus, 16 bars) You should bring a copy of the music for the accompanist. Try this simple website for some very basic music theory - http://members.tripod.com/chris_hopkins/readingmusic.html
Then, see if you can find someone who plays piano to go over your song with you before the audition so you know what to expect. (For comparison the song Three Blind Mice is twelve bars.) Break a leg.

Hey! I sang 16-bars of a whole new world for an audition last year.
I am a female so naturally I sang Jasmine's part.
This is the 16-bars that I sang:
'Unbelievable sights, indesribable feelings, soaring, tumbling, free wheeling through an endless diamond sky, a whole new world, a hundred thousand things to see. I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be"
Thats 16-bars.
Hope I helped!

Depends on your arrangement of the song. You need to count the number of bars on your score, and one bar is the distance between two bar lines. Count 16 of these.
By the way, is this American Girl LA?

It skill that your piece of music which you plan to sing could have sixteen bars. Bars are what products of music are broken up into so as that it extremely is greater straightforward to envision, and so which you will be able to desire to sing/play on the main suitable pace and in time. How long is it? The length of a bar relies upon on 2 issues, what the time signature is and how briskly is it meant to be sung/performed eg. a quickish time signature is 3/8, on the same time as a slower one is 3/2. velocity clever, presto is amazingly quickly, on the same time as adagissimo is amazingly slow. looking the main suitable mix of the two gets it outstanding. Ask the director how long in time he needs it to be, or you have slightly that lasts between 10 seconds and 5 minutes. solid success to your audition

From where the lyrics start -measure 9- to -measure 24- is 16 bars.
this is the lyrics of meas. 9-24:
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
