Save them to your iPod. Seriously. Not as playable songs through the iTunes interface, but dumping the whole batch, folders and all, into the iPod as if it were a USB hard-drive (which it sorta is). To get there, open My Computer and look for a listing with the same name as your iPod under the Devices with Removable Media listing. Open that up, and dump your folders there (first make sure you clear everything off your iPod so it has room). This will allow you to save everything in a nonencrypted format, so you can later retrieve them. Once you're all done reformating and reinstalling everything (that's what it sounds like you're planning to do, rather than just turning it off and back on, yes?), add the iTunes library back into the My Music folder, direct iTunes to reload the library, and you should be good to go. You might need to rebuild your playlists, but maybe not (I've never actually gone through this process, so I'm just going on the fact that the iPod can serve as an external drive, like when a friend of mine had to make a back-up of the full contents of his hard-drive prior to doing a fresh install of the latest Mac OS while living abroad).
Just remember, you'll need to deauthorize your computer before wiping it, and reauthorize it afterwards if you've ever purchased any songs from the iTunes store.

No, you will get a popup asking you in case you desire to sync your iPod with your different workstation and click no. in case you remarkable click purchases, on the left, you are able to then 'circulate purchases', then itunes will immediately circulate songs bought from itunes. (nb. you're able to could desire to authorize that workstation) For something of your music, you will could desire to obtain a application that allow you to get entry to all the different music you're transforming into on your ipod. i exploit 'iLinkPod', yet its for mac. Plugging it in could permit it recharge. wish that's of any use.
