It wasn't intentional - I had to have one as my baby was dead. I was 8 weeks pregnant. The D and C was 2 weeks ago.. some advice please?

First im sorry for your loss. Yes. I had a mc at 13wks but my baby died at 9wks.It was a missed mc. It does happen. Had the D&C. That was in Sep. Now i am 7wks preg. If you try to hard you wont get preg. I quit trying and now im preg. took only 3months. Hope everything goes good for you the next time.

Too Right you can get pregnant after a D&C. Everything is clean and just waiting for a visitor.
I can't tell you what to do. Do you want to be pregnant again, so close after losing?

normally yes... a D and C is simply a cleaning of the uterus. You might have to wait till your next ovulation before you can get pregnant, but I'm not sure.
Also, there may be some outside chance that a D and C causes some trauma that inhibits pregnacy... but I don't think that's the norm... I would talk to your OBGYN for more details.

My two kids prove that you can. :) I had a D&C after a miscarriage in August (years ago), got pregnant in November (kinda unplanned, but it worked out great). Don't worry. Follow your doctor's instructions for how long you should wait to get pregnant, then be hopeful. :)

Heck yeah!!!! I have a 6 yr old. I got pregnant 3 weeks after having one.

My heart goes out to you I have been in your shoes it's awful experience. Anyway all a D&C does is clean your inside out so yes you can get pregnant again but give yourself a good 6 weeks to heal. God bless.
