What a wonderful question!! I'm going to assume by the category you posted to that you don't necessarily mean material, monetary wealth. That answer's too simple anyway (total net assets minus total net liabilities). I think wealth is best measured by the things that give you true joy. I find true wealth in the strength of my relationships with God, my husband, my daughter, and my family. I'm more wealthy each meaningful moment I have with them. I'm wealthy because of the memories we've built and I've preserved through journaling, photos, etc. I'm wealthy because I generally lack for nothing in life in that I have a nice home, a good caring family, a nice network of true, loyal friends, a job that I actually enjoy and don't hate getting up for, etc. Where I lack in wealth is my health and it is my own fault and something I intend to change. I will gain more wealth through improving my health not only from the obvious benefits, but from the act of accomplishing those goals and the journey of getting there.

wealth is a lot of different things to different folks. If you are poor then wealth could be something as simple as a warm place to sleep or a good meal or a home where there is always love and happiness . I think that as long as we have life and are able to say and think what we want that we are some of the wealthiest folks on earth.

I would say by how you feel about yourself and your accomplishments...I measure this by asking myself am I measuring up to what I think God's expectations are of me as given in the bible. If you have nothing good, have accomplished nothing good, and feel crumby...then I would say you have little wealth. Some people even have a sense of false wealth...no good friends, their children are out of control, they have nothing but a life time of excuses. There is also those who were handed wealth...but no matter how rich they are they have problems finding happiness. Now, if you go out there everyday and bust your bottom you will have something to show for it...wether it be good friends, well groomed family, you feel good about yourself, or a beautiful home...ect. one of the above, some of the above, or all of the above...I would say you're a wealthy man. God doesn't want us rich with treasures...he wants us rich with love for him, and attempting to spread his love to others. What God giveth he can also taketh away. In the end it doesn't matter what I think it's what God thinks.

You can measure wealth by how much $ someone has or you can measure it by how enriched your life is; family, friends, love

Simple. Do you worry about how you will afford things? If not, you are wealthy. Happiness is also a major sign of wealth. Thats a fact!

Thats hard... do you mean an objective measure of your assets? compared to others? others in this country or other countries? There is plenty of data available from the government on median incomes, across age groups or geographic locations, and savings percentages, home values... whatever.
