Do yourself a favor and download "OpenOffice" for free at the below link. It'll do fine, and is compatible with Microsoft Word etc. It's spam free too.

Since you dont want licensed edition, go for open office suite.
Another option is portableppps.com, they have a suite of applications that you may run without installing them on local hard disk. run it off USB drive, CD etc....
As per XP games, you may need to add windows component from control panel, you'll get to choose what games you want to install there.
There are many free games available on net, google for "free games" & you'll have lots of links, recommendation is you go thru pages carefully, most sites offer "free download" which is not same as "free game".

You can go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> WordPad
and, boom, you are using a Word like program and still staying legal.
Don't believe the hype - nobody's giving Word away for free.

you may sign (as in sign language), gesture with your hands (carry close loose, peace, "the fowl"), write, draw photos, grunt / make unusual noises, and/or use physique language (your eyes, posture and so on)... speaking isn't the only way of speaking.
