I think i have seen every single episode of that show. starting from the beginning. i think the story goes like this: Paul jr, (love him) knows his mom, not sure how, maybe he dated her or maybe they are just friends. Cody's mom is a single mom and she asked the teutuls if her son can hang out with them at the shop. (to stay out of trouble). they said yes, so he worked there and he even got to build a bike with sr. in the end sr surprised him with it, told him it was his and this kid was sooo happy. it was so cute. Now he goes to school to learn how to build and fix bikes and occasionaly he appears on the show. they all get along great, i think.

It is my understanding the Cody is just a friend of the family. I haven't seen him on the show in a long time though. I remember them letting him make his own bike, that was really cool of them.
