ok I figured I'd get some positive answers here
I really love my girlfriend,
and I want to show her this, by engraving her name on my body.
so, I wonder where would the best place be to do this
where do you think she'd like to see it,
I was thinking chest or around the belt area,
so girls is this where youd like to see it
and guys (if youv done this) where did you do it
this is a serious question
so any help would be nice,

Darlin' think long and hard before getting someones name on your body! If you want to show you love her... tell her, take her somewhere nice, even get a ring or something with an engraving on it... there are lots of ways to show someone you love them with out getting it permanently put on your body.
If you do get it... maybe get it somehwere thats sorta hidden like your lower stomach (belt area), somewhere that maybe only she can see it.. sorta a special thing between the two of you

If I were her, I'd freak out and hate that you did that to yourself because of me. If she loves you, then she loves you intact. And if you love her then she'll know it. You don't need to carve her name on youself to prove that!
Maybe you could get a tattoo of a picture or something abstract that reminds you of her.
It's always a bad plan to get any name tattooed or carved into your body, (unless it's Mom). Even if you love her lots, things can change and you might break up or find someone else, and then your next girlfriend isn't going to be happy that you have some other chick's name on your body.

i wouldnt do that until you are married because if things go wrong in your relationship, you are stuck with this girls name permanetly on your body. if you MUST get something, go with a symbol or something other than a name that will show your love for her. and personally i think on the belt/pelic area looks kind of gay and on the chest is kinda gangster looking. i suggest the shoulder or on your back (unless you want to be gangta?)

Ink is FOREVER so unless your married I strongly suggest not getting any "engraving" of her name on your body. I mean you dont want to end up like Johnny Depp who had to change his "Winona Forever" tatoo to "Wino Forever". It is sweet that you want to do something that shows how much you care but there are a lot of other ways to go about it without being permantly left with her name on your body.

the rule of thumbs is to never tattoo a persons name on you a few months later you fall out of love then you are stuck. How would you like if you had a gf with a dudes name on her? not cool

Engraving? You mean like, cutting her name into your skin? This is sick, and if you want to chase her away, then go right ahead. A tattoo on the other hand is ok...still a little far-fetched since you seem very young...but please don't cut yourself...it's psychotic and down right gross.

Ralph the only name on your body should be MOM or her name.Trust me dude there will be other girlfriends and you will go nuts getting rid of their names on your body.

ummm....i personally wouldn't like that is too tacky. BUT maybe you and her can get something that means something to both of you. like my husband, he use to do graffiti art. he came up with our initials linked together to become one. you have many choices besides crossing her name on your chest...its too cliche
