I just moved to a new city where I know no one. I'm having a hard time finding people to do social things with, and I don't necessarily want to do the club/bar scene alone. Any tips for meeting new people?

First of all--welcome---make yourself at home--see what the area has to offer---anything unique or historical around the town??? Now, take a look at yourself----hair, nails, teeth----are they clean as can be?? Clothes--nice, pressed, --dress to impress----stand tall and look like you have self confidence---look like a person people would like to get to know. Say to them" What goes on here"? Then they will want to know where you came from---tell them all about it---next thing you know---you have friends. Join clubs or a workout spa or get a job in a cool place. Remember that you want to spice yourself up and make yourself available. Start talking---act like an adult and put your best foot forward. Good luck and have fun out there.

go through the news paper and look for the place where club activities are listed, you can join anything from a model car, or train club to sports, or kite flying, just about any interest there is a group so that is a good place to start, another way is to volunteer at some place where there is a diverse types of people , use you imagination and have fun
