The bill that's in the California State Legislature. I'm not a fan of spanking an infant because it's kicking it's legs while you're changing it's diaper.

YES IT SHOULD. Like the child is old enough to understand why it is getting hit and that is the age where the do everything everyone else does so if you hit them they are going to hit other people.

I think it should be illegal, because as another person says, a child under 3 years old dosent even know why he or she is doing something to be spanked for. I do believe in light spanking on the buttox, but not on any other body part. For me at least, spanking worked, and set me straight. I never got hit hard, that is the important thing.

That rule makes no sense and will never pass in the supreme court. And how would they inforce it anyway?

I think the children at under three need talking to, spanking doesnt get the message to the childs head the tone of voice does.

It should be illegal to have children you don't have sense enough to raise properly without the government making laws for you to follow. Maybe they should have laws on when to feed them and bathe them to because some people are to dumb to do that to. No wait lets just stick to the one law if you have no clue on how to raise a child properly and no money to support one you can't have one.

i should be illegal to spank any child under 6 period. just feed them green vegetables, thats punishment enough.

It should not be legal for those that did not give birth to my son to tell me how to discipline him.
I have seen children that lack discipline....SHEW!!!
