I could forgive,but I never forget and always have my guard up around people who have lost my trust in the past!!

Well, what people don't realize is that if we don't forgive and forget, it hurts us, physically.
People who hold onto grudges end up with diseases.
So, I think it's best to forgive and forget.

I come from the same kind of family and I am trying real hard to forgive and forget. the forgive part might be doable but I have a memory like an elephant! and that makes it hard oh boy ya I dont know if I can ..... but you might be able to good luck, oh 'they' who ever they are say to put it into God's hands. I think it can be really hard to sometimes. Everyone at least once says they forgive someone, but I dont think that they ever truly forget what was done to them.

Forgive to forget & forget to forgive.
I know it all in theory. I'm trying very hard to forgive my cheating husband & the pain he caused me & our child. Its hard work. But I want to free my soul & spirit from this heavy burden - I don't need it.

yea i can forgive but hey NOBODY ever forgets thats a fact! trust me and im just waiting for my mom to ask for her forgiveness from me cuz my heart is still opened,i want a full family =[

Deep down you will never forget, but it is possible to push it to the back of your mind or just ignore it. Forgiveness is always possible.
