She may be letting you know she's ok. By they way play 976 in the lottery every time you dream of her. I lost mine 1 year ago. I hope you are doing well

To understand a dream, it’s helpful to keep in mind why and how we dream. When we sleep, the body and perception systems are shut down, but the brain remains active. The brain thinks about what has recently been most active during waking hours—experiences, thoughts and feelings accessed recently whether consciously or not. The brain is still active, so it works on this content, but not in a familiar, rational way. During sleep, this material is not related using input from the external real world, but rather by the brain connections already established in the cortex. So the story connectedness isn’t like everyday experience, but rather a strange, circuitous flow from one image to the next. So dreams aren’t magical messages to guide our life, but dream imagery is taken from everyday experiences, thoughts and feelings that matter most to us during our waking life. So it’s a mistake to apply standard symbol definitions, such as Freudian meanings. All you need to do is think about what kind of imagery it is and how it relates to your daily life.

If your mother passed away recently, you are probably still grieving, which means you are stilling intense feelings and memories. She has been on your mind a lot, whether consciously or unconsciously. So this material is still active in your brain when you sleep, hence the dreams. It seems normal to me, nothing to worry about. As your grieving continues its course, and you come to acceptance, eventually the dreams may become less frequent and stop altogether. I'm sorry for your loss.

You're dreaming about your recently deceased mother because you're coming to terms with her death, and your subconscious mind plays a huge role in the process.

Dreams often help relieve pressures we are not able to fully deal with or resolve when we are conscious. A relief of tension.

It is natural that your mother's death has brought with it tension. Unresolved questions, a sense of loss, perhaps guilt - and it is perfectly natural that this would show itself in your dreams.

If you can remember what you have been dreaming, it would be good to write down your dreams - keep them - and in a future time, what they might "mean" to you might be clearer. You might be better able to understand those dreams when a little more time has passed.

My condolences on your loss

There could be a lot of reasons behind it. A) you miss her - unless, of course, you were estranged from her or didn't know her in life. B) lack of closure - were you not around when she passed, unable to say goodbye? C) Was her passing overly violent? Do you need to come to terms with how she passed, or perhaps find out how? Or.. D) If you're the spiritual type, maybe she's trying to contact you. Listen to what she's saying in the dream, maybe it'll get something across.

In the last 5days have you known someone who's relative has passed, talked with anyone about your mother's passing, been thinking about your mother or maybe read or saw a movie of someone passing etc? This may be the reason for your dream.
And its not anything to worry about ok. Your going to be just fine.
Take care. Have a nice evening.

I hope this is a serious question and not a 'joke'...

I'm sure you're dreaming about her because you miss her, and that is natural..... I have suggested this before and it has helped people if they can do it... next time you dream about her if you know you're dreaming (most people can tell when there dreaming and when there not) try talking to her, say what you need to say to her because since you're dreaming about her she knows that there is something that you're wanting to tell her! Good Luck and concentrate on talking to her before you go to bed, it will help you in your dream!

There are many ways to look at it.

Maybe you are missing her too much, think of her will make you dream of her. There's a chinese saying that "dream of what you think". Another superstitious reason is that she might be back to visit you and telling you she's ok.

However, I think you are very close with your mother and you are missing her lots. That might be the main reason.

My deepest condolences to you! Take good care..

I had dreams for a while, not of my mother but of my mother-in-law. She was telling us all "I'm not dead" and that really freaked me out. As time went by and I realized she was in a better place, I did realize that she is "not dead" but alive in heaven. I am at peace now with it. She was so sick and now I know she is not in pain any more. Think through your dreams. They usually do mean something.

You're dreaming about your mother because you love and miss her. Your dreams are an attempt to reconnect.
