This would be the first kick-off function to register young adults within the church. It needs to be something fun but not too risky or involve too much alcohol since it is a church event.

For a church I wouldn't have alcohol at all.....and at that age good luck getting them involved. Try maybe a sleep over at the church. A nice way for young adults to meet each other. My church did one a while back and it was a pretty big hit, I think.....well I didn't go but I heard it was a big hit....

Something either sporty like a guys against girls basketball/softball/volleyball tournament, or a games night, everyone bring their favorite board game and get playing. Team games like Taboo and pictionary for example. Am I a little too old fashioned for you? Well, adjust to your age groups then and get socializing. Don't forget the refreshments. Everyone likes to eat.

how about saving the world. remember that song "we are the world.. we are the children...." in todays climate crisis (global warming) we can bring awareness to these folks and they can take positive action. (without getting drunk ! i cant believe you even said that and how much is to much anyway ? sheesh... put the alcohol away not everybody in the world drinks ) check out this web site http://climatecrisis.org/
