Well I would think it would depend on the bible and the end result. If the end result is only going to cause more grief than good then I would try to figure another way that isn't damaging. Such as it is politically incorrect to spank a child, put soap in their mouths,have them hold something while their noses are in the corner, you can't take dinner away...and now many children have gone wild...every child is different and what may work for one may not work for another. People say well what's so bad about jail...3 hots, a cot, health, and possible a reunion with friends while in jail...not to mention the break from a job or family...hey let's all go to jail...I think they should go back to public hanging...who are they kidding, they are not rehabilitating anybody thus the reason druggies are in your neighborhood, along with rapists and child molesters. This is why jails and prisons are overcrowded. Everyone fighting to do what is politically correct, meanwhile the innocent suffer. Personally I think our government and society is evil.

My take would be those who enjoy bringing death, misery and cruelty to others, or go with the "seven sins", or the complete opposite of the knightly virtues.

Only you can answer that its like asking what is normal, it all depends on who you ask. No one sets standards and mostly all are standards that society has were created thru buyist.
