Should we all do you a favour and kiss you goodbye after one or 2 months of sex looking for the next adventure ? Everybody wins this way, expect for the lawyers who wont get a chunk of that juicy divorce money, because we do not propose. What do you gals think ?

So what you are all saying, if we meet your demands you could eventually find the grace not to take us to the cleaners, else you will take the first opportunity to kick us out and cash out. Sounds fair doesnt it ?

I lived quite happily on my own for many year and this was my choice. I was financially secure and content with my life. It has been just recently that I chose to remarry to a man I have deep love and respect for. However if I had not met him I would still contently be single. with my own money, home, car, etc. I don't need to "cash out" with a man in fact that would be a good reason for me to have remained single having known many men who robbed their wives blind when they left and took the women's hard earned cash as part of the settlement. Life is a two way street and men are just as likely to benefit in a divorce settlement as a women.

I still personally think that if parents raised their sons to have respect and to treat women as a valuable asset to their marriage (with love and respect)there would be a lot less divorce. To cherish her and not look for the greener grass on the other side of the fence (no affairs) then the little girls dream of the knights in shining armor would still become a reality and divorce would not be as high as it is. I can lay blame just as thick for the women. I'm not siding with either sex. Marriage should be 50/50 and it isn't now .

Sounds like you missed the point of the article. I think you should stick to your prostitutes...better for everyone, that way.
EDIT--What "demands?" You mean that wives ask to be treated as humans and not your housework slave and convenient "hole in the bed?" The "demand" that you treat them like a friend, partner, and lover...talk to them, relate to them, and actually try to have a relationship with them, instead of ignoring them? That's all the article suggests...and it seems pretty reasonable, if you really love a person, it shouldn't be that hard, and if it seems like it is too hard, then, let me again suggest, DON'T get married. If you treat your wife like she's invisible, how can you expect anything else? Why are you so worried about it anyway? I thought you were "swearing off" marriage.

Not surprising - our maternal ancestors relied on men to feed them and their children. There was no place to go, and if they did they were considered the out casts of society. Then came the sexual revolution, feminism, and the world changed. I think women have evolved and grown through all of this, and men, not all but a good deal of them are still stuck between being a dinosaur and shifting attitudes about power, intimacy, sex, and relationships. The evolution of men rests in their ability to challenge pre-conceived notions of masculinity.

yeah, YOU should do that to any unsuspecting female you may date. it's guys like you that make women give up.
btw, i got divorced and did not take my ex to the cleaners. i helped him get that job, gave him the use of my car so he could get there, washed his dirty laundry, and took care of the house just to be called a worthless ***** every night when he came home and got drunk. i paid for the divorce even though he had a full time job and i didn't have a job (i was a college student). all he had to do was pay for the car when he left (his choice to take it). i didn't even make him pay for half of our debt.
so stop bein a generalizing @$$

I think men are idiots... for the most part. And I think your comments are the same. It is a sad fact that women do not feel appreciated in a marriage, to the point of abandoning men and becomming "independent" and "alone".
