okkkk. I know this is kinda a silly question. I know Stanford Univ is like the harvard of the west. but im applying to colleges and was thinking about applying there. What are some special features about Stanford.. Thank You:)

Brilliant professors and brilliant students. It has a fantastic reputation. Plus, unlike a lot of top academic schools, it's athletic teams often compete for national championships (look up the Sears trophy).
Mainly it's the reputation. Holding a degree from Stanford can open a lot more doors on the name alone than say, a degree from San Jose State.

Its a private school, and its known for its academic reputation, and the location is great. Stanford always rank high in the college rankings, it was #4 this year from us news college ranking. I've been to the campus, and I love the fact that there is a shopping mall right next to it with all the nice stores like louis vuitton and tiffanys. But thats because I'm a girl. However, a degree from Stanford definitely would be impressive.

I have always thought that if I had it to do again that I would choose Stanford. No matter how much I love the undergrad and grad programs I selected Standford has everything most people are looking for in a school.
Consistently competitive in athletics
Highly ranked in almost all programs
Excellent staff-very well published
Very influential students, and staff members
excellent location
many attractive people
great weather
and it never hurts to have Stanford on your resume
