I'm not sure where it originated, but "bow chicka bowow" is mentioned on season two of Red vs. Blue, an online Halo animated comic strip... I'm not sure if that helps, but I thought you might like to know anyway.

It's a joking reference to sterotypical 70s porno movie music. The soundtracks often used slow, wah wah guitar riffs during the "romantic" scenes.
