In San Antonio, Tx,
There is a mulch fire in Helotes (about 2 miles from where I live) that has been burning since Christmas, it has it's own myspace. I wake up every day sick because of it, the ashes are in the water..and... it really stinks. Well it is close enough to be considered San Antonio :)

Well not at the moment but about a month ago my town was voted safest in the U.S!!! It has been that way for like 4 years in a row. And about 2 weeks ago our mayor up and quit with no explanation after being mayor for like 12 years only to find out he took money from people he shouldn't have lol. Go figure, those politicians :)

Sure, 98% of people who live in Mississippi are still homeless after Katrina, a year and a half later. You never hear about them, they actually got the blunt of the storm, there is nothing but slabs and debris. New Orleans damages were done by the levees breaking, the federal government., and they knew this could happen at any moment, and it could happen again, at any given moment. So, what about all these people that are homeless in Mississippi?

Yes there was a meeting that I attended tonight, the County Board was hearing public opinion on banning smoking. This conty already has 80% of the restaurant/bars nonsmoking, and of all the bars in town 22% allow smoking. It was interesting

Our city manager is awaiting trial in federal court for making some work release inmates remove asbestos from a building with no protection and then dumping the toxins in our city dumb, which is not coded for toxic waste. I hope they fry him!

funny you should ask, i live in a small town and theres a dang rapist on the loose about 7 miles from where i live stuff like that don't happen around here...!!!
