I have tried putting one in your pocket and it works but not really well. A product like off or muskol anything with deet works alot better. If you just used one in your dryer I doubt it would have any effect at all. Mosquitoes are hard to fool and they are attracted by the co2 you exhale. The only nonchemical way I have found is insect hats that have the netting...PS the main thing in dryer sheets is wax, they also have a scent which is basically perfume...The used dryer sheets are handy for dusting dust really sticks to them well

Can't say I have ever heard of using it for mosquitos or on the body; however it could cause a rash and possibly even hives. Wash up asap to get the residue off maybe even a couple times and give it time to heal, and you might even talk to your doctor.

So you want to know if they ward off mosquitoes? I think they do. I've never tried it, but I don't think it's a hoax.

some people tend to have allergies to some ingredients/products used to make the dryer sheets.

Allergic reactions such as rashes can occur. There are hypoallergenic ones, I think all puts out a fragrance free one.
