How many trillions is the U.S. in debt? (and what happens when those who we owe really want their cash?)
And what will we (and they) do with all those nukes?
How many armies have weaponized diseases?
What are the real and long-term effects of HAARP?
Just how many (how few) large volcanoes does it take to throw several large monkey-wrenches into our "civilized world"? And just how civil is it once the cops have no easy communication with large numbers of people or computer-assisted intelligence? (Does your neighborhood have a few guns among you-uns to protect yourselves? Do you even know your neighbors enough to trust them?)
How easily can the three or four main food-controlling businessmen shut down a country's entire food-supply? (Is it two or three buttons?)
I'd tell you to get your bug-out bag ready; but where ya gonna run to that 90% of the rest of the population isn't going to run to as well?
Does it matter "when"? What matters is "will"? Got your seat-belt(s) on?

About 5 billion years. That is when the sun will have used up it's fuel and become a red giant, engulfing the earth

I just read that in 5 billion years the sun is going to expand and put forces on the moon so that it will disintegrate and Earth is soon to follow. Scary!

Although...I read in a news item recently that, scientists think the sun will explode and disintegrate the earth in about a trillion years.
For some reason, it's not a huge concern to me.

Sooner than people think, because we are screwing up our environment. We take good care of our cars, our clothes, our homes, etc. but we still are way off being careful of our globe.
