When actually most of them are highly intelligent...do we rely too much on looks alone?

well, we normal folks don't like to feel inferior. If someone has all the looks, the money and the intelligence we feel as if we got short change. There for we try to find faaults with them. I think the pretty = stupid comes from how easy you can obtain things. If you are average looking or plain ugly you have to work extra hard to get the same things. Thats just the way life is. So, in theory, if you work harder at something you should be better at it too. So, if that is true then the person who obtained a position based on their looks alone cannot be as smart because they did not spended the same amount of time.
Ofcourse that is not neccesarily true right. You could just be naturally smart.

That is a very strong comment with no base. Have you ever talk to them one on one?? Did they ever impress you with lacks of normal intelligence talking to you?? Looks is part of intelligent person who is on the run for the achievement in life.

Because we have been brought up to come to believe (or most of us have) that you can't have it all. You can't be good looking, "hot" and have brains too. Because then you would have everything. We have come to believe that you either are smart and spend all your time studying and becoming a geek or your "hot" and dumb because you never wanted to learn about anything but be "hot." So we don't think any one has it

For the simple fact that most of them that have been interviewed in the past have been pretty floaty. It just like the only people that have every been abducted by aliens are 'rednecks'. See my point?

because some of them are ignorant and i think that ignorance is stupidity but yes you are right there are alot that dont get the credit they deserve

Because most of them just did their nails and lip gloss in school instead of pay attention. They just spaced out. So for MOST (NNNNNOOOOOTTTT ALLLLLL!) It's true.
