A quote from my Government book, "The Speaker of the House is the presiding officer of the House and its most powerful leader." "The Speaker can influence proceedings by deciding which members of the house to recognize first." The speaker can also appoint the members of some committees, schedule bills for action, and refers bills to the proper House committee. If the President or Vice president can no longer finish the term, the Speaker of the House becomes Vice President. If the President after that can not finish the term, then the Vice President that was Speaker of the house becomes president.

Order of Succession
Speaker of the House --> Vice President --> President

No question is a bad one, its a big deal to have a female speaker of the house. Remember this when your 75. You are part of history. Good for you to ask. The two above sum it up.
