You could talk about Physics of Soccer.
Heres a start:

Or if you want to include both soccer and asthma. You could talk about how much running soccer players do. Then you can make a comparison, something like... In one game of soccer an average player takes 10000 steps, something a regular person does in 2 days. And then you could talk about how this type of excercise can help with asthma, etc.

You could always research soccer players and the effects of smoking. To make it simple, go through their records, find out how well they were doing before and after smoking.

Then again, that seems too meticulous. How about the science of scoring a goal or blocking? You could research the angles at which a soccer player scores a goal.

You could make something like a theory chart on when a particular team is more likely to score a goal.

These are just ideas. I'm a soccer fan myself, so I just wanted to help.

You could do a physics type project with soccer---like how much force it takes to kick a ball to the goal from a certain angle or point on the field.
