Yes--I went to the Nars counter at Nordstrom. Nars eyeshadow in Night Clubbing (Deep bronze), Night Fever (Deep burgundy) and Night Porter (Deepest green) are all made to be used as eyeliner according to the Nars saleswoman. There are probably other colors as well that would work.
When they go on, they have a very deep color like eyeliner. You apply them dry with a tiny eyeliner brush that Nars also sells, and you can get either the thinnest line or a dramatic effect, depending on what you want.
I've tried this with other brands of eyeshadow, but a lot of them are too dry for this to work well. The Nars brand is just the right consistency for this purpose.

Yes i use black eyeshadow (dry) when i'm in a hurry. It's so much easier to put on than eyeliner and you're less likely to mess up.
I might try it wet though.

Yes, there are eyeliner brush that is very thin of shape and can easily brush on dry eyeshadow on the edge of your eye. Be precise and it come between your lashes, for casual look
For night out look, look for "thicken liquid jar" ( sorry don't remember the brand) it can easily mix with loose powder to form liquid eyeliner with eyeliner brush.

If I run out of eyeliner and I'm desperate, then yes I will. It works much better to do it wet.

yes- you can use it a couple different ways... either with a brush, or those little sponge tip applicators... i use it dry on the edge of a sponge tip, but wet with a brush would probly work too...

Yes, I use it both ways and do all the time. It's good to do it as the smokey eye effect. Best brand to use is MAC.
