Easy yet hard to answer. I place my bet on the tendency of all people to think only of themselves - their own needs, interests, pleasure, comfort, convenience, pride, ego, points of view - in short, the usual cliche of I, me, mine. It's pure and narrow selfishness.
It's a sickening individualism so prevalent in the West. Many marriages end in divorce, children grow up in dysfunctional families, people use sex only for pleasure, people use people to advance their own interests, the elderly are neglected and forgotten and so on. People shun self-giving, unconditional love, responsibility. Under the pretext of broadening their outlook, they end up having very narrow interests. Those who block or hinder individual interests are detested. No wonder there is so much hatred for others.
I also think a radical change in values has something to do with hatred, at least in the western world.
Outside the western world, I think there is also a failure of some other people to realize the limits of their own belief or religion. That's why they go around imposing their own worldview on others. I need not name groups but I think you'll discern what I am leading to. The conception of God for these people is radically different from the Christian or western one, that, perhaps ultimately, a terrible conflict might erupt between these different notions.
Let's hope for the best, and make the world a better place - where love reigns - in our own little way.

First of all, just because I don't like somebody doesn't mean I'm Hitler's offspring. When people repeat these same tired cliches over and over again it becomes meaningless and trivial. (If someone could come up with a new argument I'd at least listen to them.) Frankly I resent being labeled by people that claim to be open-minded and "liberal", when these same people are really narrow-minded and are only willing to let you have your say if you agree 100% with their views.
Using the word "hate" has become chic, I guess. You know, you see it or hear it everyday. "Hating is so wrong", says the ignorant teenager. "Why must we be so hateful", says the isolated suburbanite. These dipsh*ts would be able to answer these questions by visiting any city of their choice. But because they choose to watch Zionist controlled, mindless television programs with flagrant "multicultural" agendas, they believe this B.S. lock, stock and barrel.
Stereotype is one word.
"Hate comes from a family tree" makes little to no sense.
Anyway, to answer your question: Maybe people just don't like being told who they must like and how they should think. Especially when they can see for themselves what is really going on and how they are lied to everyday.
