Good Gravy! The more I search for my Phobias...the more I find I have...thanks a bunch! ; ) (wink-wink) ; )
I could not find Fear of Basements anywhere! I'm 38 and still run up the basement stairs like the Boogey Man is behind me (because of the movie Salem's Lot that I watched WAY too young.) The closest I could find was:
Bogyphobia- Fear of bogeys or the bogeyman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogeyman
Coulrophobia - Fear of clowns.
Glossophobia - Fear of speaking in public (Who doesn't have this?)
Phobophobia - Fear of phobias - (I just thought this was funny).
Claustrophobia- Fear of confined spaces.

I also have arachnaphobia (to the point where I have been known to jump up on the back of a sofa in one leap because there was a spider on the floor). I don't know the name, or if there is one even, for my other phobia but it's this......I have a fear of not existing. I'm not so much afraid of dying, it's the fact that we only have so many years on earth and then we just don't exist anymore, and life just keeps going on without us. Morbid, I know, but it has the ability to give me a panic attack just thinking about it.

I have acrophobia. I cannot even think of going near an edge be that the edge of a 50 story building or the edge of a pavement. I get nausea and lose my balance.
I also have periodic phobic attacks that manifestate as either claustrophobia or agoraphobia but never both at the same time. Thats due to my depression...
I suffer from an irrational fear of open doors. I cannot sleep with an open door in my room. If there is a door it must be closed.
I hate snakes, and I am rather intimidated by them but not a phobia i think.
I think thats all.
Now I go to wear my nice white jacket! I like it because it has very long sleeves! You can even tie them at your back! Bye!

arachnaphobia.. I watched the movie when I was younger and have been *terrified* ever since. I also have a fear of heights but I try to get over it as often as possible. I can jump off cliffs and such but the second I get to the top again I'm terrified .. I love that though, I love the feeling of being terrified and getting through it.
Spiders I will never be OK with.

I am afraid of ketchup, sounds weird. But I hate ketchup, I don't like the smell or the taste, but the color is fine-looking at blood doesn't bother me. Also, I am afraid of heights a bit, I won't stand on a latter, but I'll ride a rollarcoaster (because it has seat belts). Just that look down if it's a slow ride isn't fun until I get use to it.

spiders, and heights.
i tried to get over heights by skydiving. I jumped off the plane. But i am still scared...don't know why. and MOTHS...hate them...one night my dog was sick and i was outside with him and when i looked up there was about a dozen moths right there and of course the light was a couple inches from my door, so i sat outside and cried, when my dad finally let me in....i was 15 none the less but it really happened

Apiphobia: Bees. I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of them. Almost couldn't leave my house last spring, because we had two basketball-sized hives in our front yard. The bees didn't really come near the house, and they didn't approach us, but just knowing they were there would make me start hyperventilating. I wouldn't walk out into the front at all. I would only get into my car in the garage, and then drive out of the driveway as fast as I could.

I have a fear of sudden loud noises like thunder, balloons popping, gunshots (obviously), firecrackers, etc. For that reason, I have NEVER been to a New Years Eve or Fourth of July celebration and I never allowed balloons at my kids' birthday parties...(pretty sad huh?)

You are not the only one, I am afraid of closets when the door is open constantly (at night) and I am way past the age to be afraid of an open door.
