Do you beleive everything your "computer expert" (read has-been-drip-under-pressure) tells you? there seem to be a lot of folks here that do!

Limewire is NOT illegal. What you do with it MIGHT be.
MySpace does not have "codes" of it's own! Your profile layout is simple HTML and CSS. Stuff every web page is made of.
Ebay is not better than Amazon. It simply depends on what you want.

Got any other stuff your "computer guy" told you?

In this day in age with all the information literally at your finger tips if you are actually concerned over the legality of downloading mp3s and files or which auction site is better, do some research on your own and make a somewhat educated decision.
As an IS professional when I get questions from people concerning this type of information I tell them what I know from my experiences and that they should research whatever there interested in. If they don't research things it's there own fault for not being informed.

Sooo many things. How about these:
Norton Antivirus is the best antivirus software on the market and WILL ensure you get NOTHING invading your computer.
Firewalls all allow you to file transfer.
System Restore sorts out most viruses (virii?)
Deleted material takes up no memory space at all.

How about the one where the guy is trying to sell you a new PC and says, "PC's are obsolete after 2 years - you need an upgrade!"

Yeah, I need an upgrade to read mail and browse the Internet.....

My 8 year old 1.8 Ghz Compaq begs to differ.

Macs are more expensive and hard to learn. Yeah right, take a comparable Dell and a Mac and you will see the Dell is more expensive.
