I can't pick one favourite book but favourite authors. Patiricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Mo Hayder, Laura Fairstein to name a few. Mostly as I love the thriller/mystery genre. I need a book that is always a page turner as I like to read the book within 2-3 days. Forensic, murder etc is what interests me the most.

One of my favorite books I have read would have to be In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. He wrote that book in a very cool way. You should see the movie Capote. I also like the Da Vinci Code and many other books.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde - 1890s
It is so relevant even today about vanity, eternal youth, debauchary. I love this book so much.
Oscar even was a scandal because of his unconventional lifestyle.
