Stereotypes can be quite frustrating. I'm a black girl who grew up in the suburbs of South Bend, Indiana (Notre Dame territory). My upbringing has been vastly different than that of many African-Americans that I know, and growing up with mostly Caucasian friends and classmates has had a significant effect on my attitudes and preferences.
It is annoying that, when I tell a person that I don't like most rap music, it's something amazing, they act like, since I'm black, I MUST like rap. It's also interesting when I open my mouth to speak for the first time and people are amazed that I don't sound "black."

I know what you mean, but stereotyping someone is truly just a generalization in order to survive. People and animals do it all the time. Doesn't make it RIGHT, but there are reasons behind why people categorize each other.

You'll get used to it. Just because I'm part British by birth blood I have to have bad teeth (which I don't, for reference). I ignore this foolish stereotype and I remain proud of both my countries, America and Britain. People will be people. They must have their little rajah moments from time to time.

Well, do you fit into any of these sterotypes? Yeah, it sucks, but guess what, since I don't fit any, I don't care. And if you don't, then you shouldn't care either. Let the rest of the world be ignorate and you just live life.

one of the worst is being labeled crazy
even when and if you feel like 69% better, people still say, well hes crazy so he can't : do a job, have a girlfriend, be trusted, etc.
