I just feel bad, that any child on Earth, should get POLIO of all things, and face being crippled throughout her adolescent years! The world's values need changing. It's such a CRAZY WORLD!! NO ONE Billionaire wants to help the matter EITHER!! What values are there in the world, for ANYONE?

Space exploration has Advanced:

Direct TV/ Tivo
Cell Phones
Black Berries
Internet

All provided by satellites/ government tax money & private money spent on astronomy. So, without these technologies more children would be getting POLIO. Communication allows doctors to study anywhere in the world and instantly communicate to anyone with the same devices.

Additionally, POLIO vaccinations are funded by many of the billionaires; vaccinations are being carries throughout the planet. Small pox has decreased significantly. We are making progress for being humanitarian for all. Marketing campaigns like “Red” (Bono & Oprah) are allowing medicine for aids babies to save many. Certainly, there's always room for improvement --- however, we're foolish & ungrateful if we don't acknowledge the great strives we've made --- and the strives we've made is HUGE --- all with help from astronomy.

You make it sound like NASA is putting dollar bills into orbit. The first computers were used to calculate orbital trajectories, so we'd have no computers with out NASA, ditto for sattelites. The things we've learned about Venus help predict what is happening with global warming.
Let's not forget the International Space Station has countries all over the world wanting to join in on this tremendous project. World peace may not be so impossible to think about after all.
