Nothing. Which is exactly what he SHOULD do. Why should he bow at the alter of the impotent U.N ?? America should get out of there.

I think the question should be what has the UN done to make the UN stronger. When you have tyrants running the UN Human RIghts Commission, there is no way to take them seriously anymore...Sadly, The UN has become a haven for Anti-Semites and Anti-Western principles. There is always an uproar over Israel's treatment of Palestinians, some of it warranted..but little outrage of the Sudanese Janjaweed fighters slaughter of Christians and Animists in Darfur. Its typical.

Why should President Bush have a strong relationship with the United Nations? When anything goes wrong in the world, it is up to the United States of America and/or the United Kingdom to take care of the situation while the UN sits back and critize both nations.

No one who believes in peace and justice for all nations would deliberately and arrogantly disregard the UN. We all have to work to strengthen the UN or else nuclear annihilation is imminent. Re: the late great John Paul II: an indispensable quality for any leader is humility and that George Bush, who is a pimple on the face of time, was incapable of listening and deferring to a man of John Paul's stature, only underscores the fact that he is unqualified for high office or anything else for that matter.

Bush has done all he can, without be obvious about it, to discredit and destroy the UN. This is just one more issue that differentiates the Republicans from the Democrats. The Democrats support the UN and its mission. The Republicans, particularly the "G W Bush people " would like to either make it a puppet or disband it.

The UN is nothing more than a bunch of scam artists on the take. When they do hand out sanctions, no one cares and everyone ignores them. They are completely irrelevant and we should not waste any more money or time on them.
